For the most practical color go for black as white is obviously hard to keep clean as the feathers do tend to get dirty. They’re definitely not a shoe you’re going to be driving in or going out on a wet day in. However, since this shoe isn’t about practicality, unless you’re going for a designer pair you want to last the longest, go for whatever color you love the most.
For those who know me or have been reading for a while, obviously that’s hot pink or black for me! I love both colors for different reasons. I’m considering getting black to go with my black feather PJ’s. I mean, you can never have too many feathers! Then hot pink to go with all of my hot pink outfits which I seem to have accumulated quite a lot of even before Barbiecore was a thing. I love a monochromatic look. Anyway, enough about what I’m adding to my closet, here’s the best styles to add to yours.
Styles with feathers on the ankle straps or higher ups are less likely to get dirty than those with feathers that drag on the floor. These ones are on major sale with 50% off.
Feather stiletto heels
Women’s shoes don’t come much more feminine than those with feather details on the uppers or a feather heel. Black looks sophisticated for the Femme Fatale but the bright pinks, yellows, blues and greens and fun and are a playful statement to add to any outfit or to add color when styled with black dresses. They’re perfect for summer weddings for adding a touch of glamour to your outfit.
Steve Madden has some super cute styles with fluffy feather uppers and heart details on their thin heels. If you’re looking for a white pair but were worried about getting them dirty, go for a more affordable pair like Nina’s whose are under $100!
For a designer pair Jimmy Choo white feather and crystal open toes sandals are stunning and would make a beautiful bridal shoe. Gianvito Rosso‘s sexy black and crystal sandals are hard to beat for a dressy evening heel. For a fun style the hot pink AREA X Sergio Rossi pair are stunners. FWRD has a lot of fab sale finds right now including a pair by Alexandre Vauthier that were over $1000 and are now $399 with free shipping!
Saint Laurent’s satin slingback feather heels don’t disappoint with their crystal embellished buckle, trending square toe and cute feather pompom on the vamp.
Feather kitten heels
If you’re looking for a lower heel height or house shoe that’s next level kitten heels are another option. As much as I love killer high heels for going out, kitten heels are usually a more comfortable option and I know most of my tall friends love them.
