Shoes can make or break the outfit! These were the ones that made them at the 2024 Academy Awards from classic satin pumps to strappy heels

Oscars 2024 red carpet shoes and fashion was feminine and colorful this year. While classic stiletto pumps ruled supreme on the red carpet at the 2024 Oscars there were still some equally pretty bow and pearl adorned strappy sandals too. This is my 2nd year covering the Oscar shoes and one of the fashion footwear edits I look forward to the most. As I love heels and more glam styles vs everyday footwear. The 2023 Oscars saw lots of platform heels and square heel pumps. For 2024, celebrities like Ariana Grande, Emma Stone and Emily Blunt wore some of the most classic but on trend shoes at the Oscars. A lot of Oscar nominees, actresses and A-listers shoes go unseen under gowns at the Oscars but these are the celebs footwear that were on show and I’m so glad they were. When you opt for a gown that shows your shoes, they better be red carpet worthy! Here’s how to copy the best of the celebrities shoes from award night.

Platform heels are always a great choice to wear with gowns. To help give a height boost and because thicker soles are often a lot more comfortable than dainty strappy sandals. A block heel is also less likely to get stuck in the hem of a gown than a thicker heel but it was satin stiletto pumps that stole the spotlight and are a classic choice that are still majorly in style for 2024.

Ariana Grande in a pink strapless gown and pink satin stiletto pump heels

Ariana Grande’s head to toe pink 2024 Oscars red carpet look and shoes were one of my personal favorites. Her etherial custom Giambattista Valli Haute Couture pink satin gown with matching pink satin heels was one of the most beautiful looks on the red carpet. The fit and structure was immaculate and the matching pink diamond Tiffany and Co. jewelry and matching pink satin shoes completed the look to perfection. They complimented rather than distracted from the gown.

To get a shoe match this spot on, they’re probably custom dyed but the pink satin heels I’ve shared below are a pretty close match. Satin stiletto heel pumps were the most worn style this awards season. Emma Stone also wore a pair of high heel, satin mint pumps with a pointed toe and there were also lots of black satin stiletto court shoes on the red carpet vs all of the platform heels we saw last year.

Michelle Yeoh’s Oscars 2024 shoes were simple black satin stiletto pumps that went with the black accents on her one shoulder silver sequin and black gown. Because the dress was such a glam statement style, I’m glad she went with shoes that complimented rather than competed with her red carpet gown. Kelly Ripa and Becky G also went with this shoe choice.

Wendy Thembelihle Juel pretty in pink | Black and crystal bow Oscars 2024 shoes

Wendy Thembelihle Juel’s Oscar look was so spot on for all of the Barbie nominations. She styled a sparkly fitted pink gown with peep toe black satin heels with the cutest crystal bows. Black and pink is becoming a popular color combo but the black can often look too heavy or steal too much of the attention. This delicate pair of feminine black satin crystal bow heels hit the mark perfectly. These are one pair of Oscar shoes you can get the exact same pair of! Emily Blunt in a gold sequin gown and gold peep toe platform heels

Emily Blunt shone like a thousand spotlights in this thigh high slit gold gown. You know I love a ultra glam, high shine moment and this was stunning. From the fit to the styling. I love how the stylist tied the gold platform Alexandre Birman Clarita Ankle Strap Curve 120 Oro shoes in with the color of the Schiaparelli sequin gown perfectly. These are the exact gold platform heels Emily Blunt wore to the Oscars and they’re on major sale!

Danielle Brooks Oscar 2024 shoes complimented her strapless black gown and the strappy heels with pearl details kept the feminine elegant vibe. I’m a big fan of mixing both pearls and diamonds and her 2024 Oscars red carpet look is one example of why this works so well.

Issa Rae also went for strappy black high heel sandals for the 2024 Oscars. Her’s were a simple Gianvito Rossi black patent leather sandal which let her stunning velvet and sequin gown be the main moment. The lack of an ankle strap created a flattering, leg lengthening look.

Billie Eilish Oscars 2024 Chanel red carpet look and Mary Jane shoes kept the preppy vibes going strong

You can always count on Billie Eilish to bring something a bit different to the red carpet. Her Chanel black blazer, white shirt and boucle skirt were ladylike but more suited to work than the Oscars but I love that at least it was different. Honestly, she can do no wrong with that voice and authenticity. It’s also one of the only Oscars red carpet outfits that you and I can wear in real life!

Grace Gummer in trending oxblood gown and matching heels

Grace Gummer wore one of the most on trend Oscars 2024 red carpet looks in the color of the season ‘oxblood red’. From the slinky Gucci sequin gown to the oxblood, patent leather strappy sandals. It looked sophisticated, cohesive and elegant. I haven’t found the exact match but as soon as I do I’ll share them here as I want a pair for myself! For now these are a close match that are still right on trend!
