It’s one of those classic styles that often gets forgotten but when it comes back you wonder why it ever went away. Yes slingback heels and sandals are back in style for 2023 and embody the 90’s fashion trend going on right now too. They started popping up all over the F/W 2022-2023 runway shows, then at Salvatore Ferragamo and Versace Spring/Summer 2023 fashion shows. They’re the style pretty much every fashion editor, blogger and celebrity are embracing right now.
It’s an instantly recognizable style by the strap that goes around the back of the ankle and pointed toe silhouette. Although open toe iterations, heels and flats are all in fashion for 2023. It’s one of those classic styles that looks great with any outfit and gives a polished, ladylike look that doesn’t look like you’re trying too hard.

Style them with everything from jeans and a blazer to mini skirts and boucle dresses. I was on the fence about whether to jump on this shoe trend or not. Kitten heels do nothing for my short, muscular legs but thankfully flats and higher heel versions are in style too like the pink J’Adior slingback pumps I’m wearing. So find a heel height and style that works for you. Whether that’s a dainty Gucci pair or Prada’s chunkier wedge heel style.
