Gucci sandals review of the new black satin and crystal Gucci shoes for women. Gucci women’s shoes aren’t my typical go to brand but as soon as I saw these sparkly black crystal Gucci high heel sandals I had to have them and of course do a Gucci sandals review. I don’t even need black heels or any more evening shoes but they were just too pretty to miss. They did give me sticker shock though so am I regretting splurging on these designer shoes? Here’s my honest Gucci shoes for women review and everything you need to know before you buy. Including sizing, comfort, price, where to get them and whether they’re worth it or not! Gucci shoes for women | What’s in my closet

I say Gucci shoes aren’t my go-to designer shoe brand but I still manage to have 5 pairs in my closet right now. My 1st pair of Gucci shoes for women was a beautiful pair of Emerald green D’orsay Gucci heel sandals I’ve had for over 2 decades. I don’t wear them much any more as I prefer a higher heel but they’re too pretty to bring myself to part with.

I also have black satin high heel pumps, an ivory satin and gold crystal horse bit pair of heels I wore for my wedding, a floral print and bamboo pair of Gucci D’Orsay peep toe horse bit heels and now these sparkly Gucci stiletto heel sandals.

Gucci sandals review of the new Gucci women’s black satin heel sandals with crystals. These shoes are expensive even by Gucci standards but it was love at first sight and they were too pretty to leave on the shelf.

This high heel crystal style also comes in silver satin which looks more champagne/nude satin and not silver in person. As well as in the prettiest emerald green.

The soles are really smooth so you may want to consider having them resoled with something that will give you more traction.

Gucci’s website says that these black heel sandals run small and to consider sizing up. However, I find they run true to size and even sized down half a size to a 36.5. As I have narrow heels and the heels gaped on the 37’s. The emerald green style say that color runs true to size. So it’s definitely best if you can try them on in person.

Gucci sandals review | Are Gucci sandals heels comfortable

Ok, we’re talking about 4’5″ stiletto heels here so I’m not going to say you can walk 5 miles comfortably in them. The sole is pretty thin and it’s not particularly cushioned but I managed 4 hours out to dinner in them with no problems. The sole is thick enough not to feel the floor and I didn’t get any blisters or sore spots. The ankle strap although dainty does give a decent amount of support without cutting your circulation off.

I’ve always found all of my Gucci shoes for women to be pretty comfortable as far as heels go. There’s lots of other designer shoe brands I’ve worn once and had to consign as they were so uncomfortable.

If you find high heels uncomfortable, give the Gucci slide sandal with it’s lower mid height heel a go instead. That style comes in black, blue and fuchsia.

How to care for your Gucci heels and shoes for women

When it comes to caring for shoes, especially satin heels there’s a few things to consider:

Lighter colors are hard to care for and keep clean.
Try to avoid driving in them or anything that could create friction on the satin,

When you’re not wearing them, fill the shoes with tissue paper to help maintain their shape and absorb humidity.
Store in the provided flannel bag and box whenever possible.
Replace worn heels with the spare caps provided.

Store in cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.

It all sounds good in theory but honestly I like to display my shoes on my closet shoe shelves. I will try and keep them stuffed with tissue paper whenever I remember to though.

Obviously pricing comes into factor when doing a Gucci sandals review and deciding whether they’re worth it or not. The price of these Gucci high heel sandals varies from country to country from £880 in the UK to $1250 plus tax (depending on the state) at the time of writing this. Are these Gucci women’s shoes worth it?

This is such a tough question as it depends on how much you normally spend on shoes, what you’re comfortable with and how much you’ll wear them. I was a little uncomfortable spending this much on evening shoes to be honest.

If it was a style I knew I’d wear everyday they’d feel better value. Now I just need to make the effort to remember to wear them and get dressed up more. Luckily we live in Vegas so I can get away with being a bit extra and sparkly.

Styling wise you can pretty much wear these Gucci heels with everything from jeans to give them a more glam look to cocktail dresses and gowns. Because they’re so special and sparkly, I’d personally make them the focal point of the outfit.
